A riding starts moving when a handful of people ask their candidate the same question in the same week.

FIND YOUR CANDIDATES
Élections Québec publishes candidacies as soon as they are confirmed, until the closure of nominations in mid-September. You can find them on the ridings page.

WRITE TO THEM
Contact your candidate, write a letter demanding an answer for where they stand on the four demands. Make sure to name your riding — make it difficult for them to avoid the hard questions.
GATHER THREE PEOPLE
Three people from the same neighbourhood writing in the same week move the letters from being singular acts to becoming a collective action.

Post on social media, follow up, and talk to your neighbours until the election on October 5. A position taken publicly in September is a position that stands in October.

The objections you may encounter and how to answer back.

Quebec has nothing to do with foreign policy.: True — and our four demands are not related to foreign policy. The Caisse de dépôt, the Quebec office in Tel Aviv, RAMQ and Quebec’s weapons shipments all fall within the scope of the National Assembly.
This is a divisive issue.: The campaign demands that Quebec stop funding and facilitating what it condemns elsewhere. Consistency divides less than people expect.
You are telling people how to vote.: No. We publish the answers as we receive them, word for word, and in the same way for everyone. The campaign doesn’t endorse a specific candidate nor does it recommend a specific vote.
My MNA will never answer.: Perhaps. But a question asked by three people from the same riding will make more noise than a question asked by one person.
It is symbolic.: The Caisse de dépôt manages the retirement savings of millions of Quebecers, and the Tel Aviv office is paid for out of public funds. These are budgets, not symbols.
